Summary:
The Data Operations Developer is proficient in Microsoft SQL database management, query assembly, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services). The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail. The role involves handling data fixes, troubleshooting data-related issues, and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our databases and data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various databases and sources.
  2. Design, create, and execute ETL jobs using SSIS to integrate data from multiple systems and sources.
  3. Perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  4. Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues reported through ticketing systems, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.
  6. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements, provide analytical support, and deliver actionable insights to support business objectives.
  7. Participate in the design and implementation of data models, schemas, and structures to support performant reporting and analytics needs.
  8. Document processes, procedures, and technical specifications related to data management and ETL workflows.
  9. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data management, analytics, and ETL tools.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field is beneficial, but not mandatory.
  2. Proven technical experience working as a Data Analyst or similar role, with a focus on SQL database management, query optimization, and ETL development using SSIS.
  3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  4. Advanced proficiency in writing complex T-SQL queries, views and stored procedures for data retrieval, manipulation, and analysis.
  5. Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL workflows and data pipelines using SSIS or similar ETL tools.
  6. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data integration techniques.
  7. Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow) and experience in handling data-related issues and requests through such systems.
  8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  9. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  10. Detail-oriented with a commitment to data quality, accuracy, and integrity.
  11. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
