The 2nd Shift Print Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the production floor activities of workers and reports directly to the Director of Print Operations.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time hourly position. M-F 4:30pm - 3:00am. Longer hours, evenings and weekend work may be necessary as needed.

Your Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Supervises and coordinates the day-to-day activities of the employees who perform all print production duties.
  2. Work with new hires or new operators, screen techs, ink techs on specific functions and duties.
  3. Helps maintain Tech Sheets.
  4. Purchases print materials.
  5. Maintains the print materials inventory by updating the “Production Materials Inventory” workspace in (Smartsheet).
  6. Expedites workflow based on production schedule and due date of production order.
  7. Issues written and oral instruction.
  8. Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and company procedures.
  9. Performs maintenance and repairs on print machinery and journals work done in the “Production Equipment” (Smartsheet).
  10. Maintains harmony among employees and resolves grievances.
  11. Helps standardize procedures to improve the efficiency of the production team.
  12. Enforces safety and attendance rules and policies.
  13. Teaches / Mentors employees on a daily basis.
  14. Open and/or close the print department.

Your Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years related experience and/or 1-year in-house training as a Lead Operator
  • Computer skills are a plus.
