The Headwear Image Specialist will oversee the overall headwear digital imaging process and work in conjunction with production to ensure the daily production photos are to the agreed upon standard and the process is as efficient as possible. They will also be responsible for working in collaboration with IT to manage the Ortery photography equipment and software, ensuring quality standards are maintained. This position requires an understanding of photography, the necessity of strong Adobe Photoshop skills & editing, excellent organization, and attention to detail. The position will assist the VP Headwear Merchandising, Marketing Design Manager, and Digital Marketing Manager with additional projects and imagery needs. This position reports to the Marketing Design Manager, Legacy.

Your Role & Responsibilities as L2’s Headwear Image Specialist:
- Image Editing and Retouching: Use software like Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and other digital tools to retouch and enhance images, correcting color, exposure, and other visual elements to achieve a polished look.
- Image Manipulation and Compositing: Create composite images by blending elements from multiple sources, adding or removing elements, and ensuring a realistic and seamless appearance. These may be needed for catalogs, customers or other marketing materials.
- Quality Control and Consistency: Ensure that all images meet the organization’s quality standards, maintain consistency in style, and adhere to brand guidelines across all digital assets. Review daily headwear production photos and make suggestions for improvement.
- Color Correction and Color Matching: Adjust colors to match product specifications or creative vision, ensuring that images appear accurately on different devices and in various formats.
- File Management and Organization: Efficiently organize, catalog, and maintain a digital image library of various headwear image projects, ensuring easy retrieval and adherence to naming conventions and metadata standards.
- Ortery Management: Work with IT and all production facilities to manage Ortery photography equipment and software, ensuring quality standards are enhanced and maintained.
- Collaborate with Creative Teams: Work closely with photographers, graphic designers, and other members of the creative team to understand project goals, provide image expertise, and contribute to the overall visual storytelling.
- Prepare Images for Various Formats: Optimize images for different platforms, including web, print, and social media, ensuring the appropriate resolution, file size, and format for each. Add New and maintain updated images on Websites, in Database, iPad app, etc.
- Stay Updated on Industry Trends and Technology: Keep up with advancements in image editing software, digital imaging techniques, and design trends to improve skills and introduce new methods.
- Adhere to Ethical Standards and Copyright Laws: Ensure that all images are used ethically and comply with copyright laws, licensing agreements, and organizational policies.
- Other: Work on special projects assigned by the Headwear Merchandising and Marketing team as needed.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time hourly office position, and work hours are 7am to 4pm (or 8am to 5pm) daily. Overtime may be needed.
Your Qualifications:
This position requires photography experience, strong computer knowledge, & excellent Adobe Photoshop & Creative Suite skills.
